The employee experience

HR professionals now have the tools and technology available to see through the lens of their people. By tuning into the full employee experience, HR is in a unique position to create more meaningful workplaces that deliver business value. With this in mind, HRZone’s overarching theme for 2020, which will feed into each month's theme, is the employee experience.

Our monthly themes throughout 2020 are as follows:

  • January: Wellbeing in the workplace
    Insights and guidance on creating a culture in which healthy and happy employees can thrive and those with wellbeing issues are better supported on their journey.

  • February: The socially responsible workplace
    Should businesses today consider how they can offer more value to the world by helping to solve some of society’s bigger challenges? And do workers now expect their employer to take more social responsibility? This thought-leadership hub will explore issues surrounding privacy and trust, sustainability, technology and purpose.

  • March: Diversity, inclusion and belonging
    Moving beyond the tick-box exercise of many diversity strategies, this hub will explore how best to champion diversity within the workplace and create a business environment in which employees feel included, valued and comfortable with being their authentic selves.

  • April: The future of work
    How are fast-paced technology developments, demographic change, political upheaval and more going to impact the way we work? And how can HR stay relevant during these changing tides? This thought-leadership hub will explore these future-forward questions and offer guidance.
  • May: HR for SMEs
    Insights and guidance targeted towards supporting HR professionals within small businesses and SMEs, exploring some of the challenges they commonly face and offering guidance, tips and strategies to help them improve their offering.
  • June-July: Company culture
    The latest guidance and insights on the key ingredients required for a successful high-performing workplace culture in changing times.
  • August: Employee experience
    An advice-driven, practitioner-focused collation of articles on the impact of Covid-19 on the employee experience and how we can create more meaningful, engaging and productive work in a post-pandemic world.
  • September: Feedback and recognition
    The latest tips, trends and insights on delivering impactful, continuous feedback and recognition that improves employee performance and engagement.

  • October: The future HR leader
    Targeted towards HR professionals aspiring to rise up the ranks in HR leadership, this content hub will offer tips and strategies for developing the skills required to thrive as a senior HR leader in an ever-evolving industry.

  • November: Learning and development
    With upskilling employees being one of the top priorities for businesses today, this collation of articles will explore how to invigorate a company’s learning and development offering and better support employees with obtaining new business-aligned skill sets.

  • December: A look to 2021
    What trends are around the corner? And what lessons can we learn from 2020? We will do a round up of reflections from 2020, and a look ahead to 2021 trends.
